General public tickets for Saturday and Sunday have sold out for the HSBC Sydney 7s, which kicks off tomorrow Friday 3 February at Allianz Stadium, Sydney.

Over the three-day event, fans can expect an even greater extravaganza than last year with the HSBC World Series women’s teams set to star alongside the men while the precinct abounds with family-friendly entertainment including live music, interactive games and a designated Kid’s Zone.

For those who haven’t secured tickets already, tomorrow Friday 3 February is the best opportunity for fans to see their rugby heroes in action, with the gold medalist Australian Women’s Sevens team starting their campaign with pool games against Brazil at 1.36pm, Ireland at 4.18pm and Fiji at 7.00pm.

Tickets for tomorrow are still available, starting at $5.10 for children’s tickets and $40.80 for families. Meanwhile, a range of Saturday and Sunday hospitality options are still available for those who want to join in the action on the weekend at Sydney's iconic Allianz Stadium.

ARU CEO Bill Pulver said: “The response from fans to the 2017 HSBC Sydney 7s has been fantastic and with Friday tickets still available plenty of opportunities remain for everyone to experience first-hand the electrifying atmosphere of an international Sevens tournament.

“With the ‘Go Colourful’ costume theme, the Australian Women’s Sevens team playing their first-ever World Series tournament on home soil and the men's teams vying for supremacy after last week's Wellington Sevens, the stage at Allianz Stadium is set for the biggest weekend of rugby that Sydney has ever encountered.

“It promises to be an action-packed three-day event for fans of all ages, genders and backgrounds. Whether you’re coming for the full three days, or simply planning to come after school or after work on Friday to watch our Women’s Sevens team play their pool matches, you're bound to have an unforgettable experience.”

Adding to the excitement of the weekend is the announcement of a showpiece ‘golden oldies’ Sevens match between Australia and Fiji, with the home nation to be represented by the likes of Stephen Hoiles and Lote Tuqiri, while their Fijian opposition will be headlined by cult hero and former Wallaby Radike Samo.

All matches of the HSBC Sydney 7s will be screened LIVE in High Definition on FOX SPORTS, with coverage starting from 12pm on Friday 3 February (FOX SPORTS 501), 9am on Saturday 4 February (across FOX SPORTS 501 and FOX SPORTS 506), and from 10am on Sunday 5 February (FOX SPORTS 501).
