Behind every great rugby team is a great coach. Someone who motivates and believes in their team through thick and thin.

The Rugby Australia Community Coach of the Year Award is the clubs’ chance to say thank you. The award can be given to any current community level coach from Under 6 to A Grade. However the nominee must have a current Smart Rugby accreditation.

The winner will be given the Geoff ‘’Bunter’’ Shaw Community Coach Award at the prestigious Rugby Australia Awards (formerly known as the John Eales Medal) in Sydney in late October. This will include two VIP tickets to the event as well as flights and accommodation if necessary.

You can nominate more than one person for this award, however you can only nominate one person at a time.

Nominations close Monday September 17. Late or incomplete entries will not be accepted. Rugby Australia will then send a shortlist of nominees to the National Coaching Advisory Panel who will select the winner. The winner will be contacted shortly after and recognised on Rugby Australia’s website and social media channels.
